We are AFSCME Local 714 representing employees at The CT Department of Social Services, other state offices, and outposted workers. We are part of AFSCME Council 4 and are affiliated with CT AFL-CIO and the Hartford Labor Council. We are 1,000 members strong, providing help to the state's citizens, and investigating fraud.

Local 714 is committed to postive political action, social change, and transforming state government to benefit  all working families.

Union members will join with our community allies on March 24 to speak against legislative proposals that will harm all of us. 

The AFSCME Municipal Union Leadership Meeting originally scheduled for March 14 has been rescheduled for March 20.
