We are AFSCME Local 714 representing employees at The CT Department of Social Services, Soldiers Sailors and Marines, other state offices, and outposted workers. We are part of AFSCME Council 4 and are affiliated with CT AFL-CIO and the Hartford Labor Council. We over 800 members strong, providing help to the state's neediest citizens, and investigating and curbing waste, fraud ,and abuse. In accordance with state statute, SEBAC represents and negotiates on behalf of all unionized Connecticut state employees on the subjects of pension and health benefits. Also, SEBAC lobbies at the State Capitol regarding issues that are of importance to Connecticut state employees. |
